Hello, my name is Taylor Boatman and I am the school counselor at Terre Town Elementary School. I enjoy working at Terre Town with dedicated educators and determined students. My bachelor’s degree is from Indiana University (go Hoosiers!) and I graduated with my Master of Education from ISU in 2020. Before college, I was a VCSC student myself, attending Terre Town Elementary, Fayette Elementary, West Vigo Middle, and West Vigo High School.
As a licensed school counselor I am able to support students through short-term counseling, classroom lessons, and check-ins. I focus on social-emotional learning and helping students learn the skills they need to be their best selves in school and life. I also provide academic support and serve as an advocate for all students.
I teach classroom lessons and cover topics such as character development, mental health, emotional regulation, college & careers, and much more. I rotate between the classrooms every three weeks.
No problem is too small for a student to see me. If your child would like to meet, they can fill out the referral form below or they may ask their teacher who will then let me know. You may also call me at school to make a request.
